Dutch foreign minister Bernard Bot 'secretly' met Palestinian president Yasser Arafat to underline commitment to the 'roadmap' for peace during Holland's coming European Union (EU) presidency from July until December 2004.
In this period 'Thinking Forward', which is organized by Dutch Design Foundation Premsela, is the title of the Dutch cultural program. The program is an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. Among other international designers Dutch designer Nynke Meijer was invited to develop Thinking Forward's house style and logo during a workshop. Led by Anthon Beeke, this workshop was held from 2 to 5 March 2004 at the Design Academy Eindhoven. A great challenge for young designers! ['Thinking Forward' Dutch version item available here] |
