Nike and Marc Newson
Nike and designer Marc Newson collaborated and created the Modulo shoe.
Photo Modulo shoe: A sock-like inner shoe, with a rubber sole and a bright blue plastic outer layer. Reluct.com reports that Marc Newson got his inspiration when he was working at the Russian Space Institute and looked at pictures of astronauts who jumped with special socks on the walls of their space ships for exercise. A similair collaboration was started between Puma and Philippe Starck. Marc Newson is one of the most accomplished and influential designers of his generation. At 40, he has already worked across a wide range of disciplines to create everything from chairs, household objects, a bicycle and a concept car to restaurants, a recording studio and interiors of private and commercial jets, for clients based in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
